I came to appreciate street art on the later side of my life, but now I love it. My family spent days walking around Paris, calling out “Invader!” or “Diamonte” sightings. Street artists are able to transform walls, buildings, blocks with their often colorful murals and tags. I’ve come to understand that it’s an entire culture unto its own, with its own language and by laws.
There are a few pieces that always call out to me, comfort me. When I see these pieces, they make me feel like I’m home. This piece above is more public art than street art, but I love it. Does anyone know its provenance? I would love to know!
